Susan Jane Stockslager, 66, died peacefully March 29, 2009 at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Susan was born July 30, 1942 in Mansfield, Ohio to Sherman Daniel and Kathrine Miller Stockslager. She graduated from Eaton High School in Eaton, Ohio, class of 1969, and went on to receive her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Michigan State University in 1964. Susan spent her professional career in the Indianapolis area as a social worker and counselor, striving to help others deal with the challenges in their lives. Susan is survived by her brother, Peter John Stockslager and his wife Sally along with her niece Sarah Kathryn and nephew Peter Samuel, all of Northbrook, Illinois. A graveside memorial service will be held at the Fairview-Twin Valley Cemetery in West Alexandria, Ohio on Monday, May 11, 2009 at 10:30 am.

I am so sorry to hear about Susan’s death. I worked with Susan at Fairbanks Hospital a long time ago I am an RN and I always loved Susan. She was a great lady and a wonderful counselor. She always had a wonderful smile and Her laugh was contagious. I will remember her in my prayers and also any family members. God Bless you. Although I did not know Susan personally, I remember my great aunt and uncle, Kay and Sherman. I have my mother Marjorie Miller’s photos and among them is one of Aunt Kay and Susan as a baby. Please accept my condolances.
